RICS Building Survey

Formally called a structural survey, you can choose the building survey if you are dealing with a large, older or run down property, a building that is unusual or altered, or if you are planning major works. It costs more than the other reports because it gives detailed information about the structure and fabric of the property. It includes:

RICS Building Survey
  • The property is more than 100 years old
  • It has been renovated or had significant structural change
  • It is built with unconventional materials
  • It is a particularly large property
  • You are planning structural changes
  • There is a particular issue you want to be looked at

A building survey does not include a valuation, but Lamar Chartered Surveyors will be able to provide this as a separate extra service.
